New user-friendly Ricoh printers deliver high quality output in eco-friendly small footprint

MALVERN, Pa., Feb. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Ricoh USA, Inc. today unveiled two new color printers to help businesses adapt to the modern office’s changing needs. The user-friendly RICOH SP C840DN and RICOH SP C842DN printers produce high-volume, high-quality output with numerous finishing options for printing needs ranging from one-off labels in a pharmacy environment to color marketing materials. Its compact size enables companies to eliminate the need to outsource jobs that require higher quality output, as well as additional finishing requirements, ultimately saving needed time and money.

Today’s businesses are increasingly asked to accomplish more, but their existing, cumbersome technology can prevent them from automating document tasks. The RICOH SP C840DN and RICOH SP C842DN address this challenge with the streamlined swipe, pinch and flick capabilities of Ricoh’s 10.1″-wide Super VGA Smart Operation Panel interface. Additionally, the free of charge RICOH Smart Device Connector application helps today’s mobile workforce connect to the devices for quick and easy printing directly from their smart device, and the standard web browser allows access to critical information directly from the web.

The RICOH SP C840DN and RICOH SP C842DN – which print at 45 ppm and 60 ppm, respectively – leverage Ricoh’s Workstyle Innovation Technology to help users easily, quickly and reliably print needed documents. Customizable menus, document presets and mobile device connectivity help create an experience that is designed specifically to increase efficiency in users’ unique environments.

In addition, the RICOH SP C840DN and RICOH SP C842DN provide enhanced finishing options, including automatic stapleless stapling and a Ricoh-only space-saving internal paper folding unit. While default paper size supports up to 11.69″ x 16.53″, optional support for 12.6″ x 18″ and 12.6″ x 49.6″ paper sizes further adds to these printers’ versatility. Tri-fold brochures, informational booklets, banners and other marketing collateral can be produced quickly and easily in-house, saving time and money.

“Today’s businesses are always looking for ways to do more with less,” said John […]

Ricoh celebrates 2000th Pro™ C7100 milestone

In Liguria in north west Italy, the owner of commercial printer Ligurgaf, Alessandro Dario, says: “This was a straightforward decision. The combination of high image quality plus the versatility the fifth station brings means we can enhance our offerings and reputation.”

The Ricoh Pro C7100 series was launched in December 2014. Among the features that have encouraged such quick and broad market adoption are the fifth colour station, long sheet printing up to 700mm and productivity that enables print speeds of up to 90ppm.

Benoit Chatelard, Vice President, Production Printing, Ricoh Europe, adds: “The Pro C7100 series is unique. No other press in this part of the market combines the fifth colour station and long sheet printing.  The series allows Print Service Providers to affordably differentiate with both value added creative designs and a broader range of application choices from poster work and six page A4 brochures to book covers. The Ricoh Pro C7100 series also enables them to develop stronger relationships with their clients by offering new and exciting applications that can deliver tremendous impact, and great results for them.

He continues: “The fact that seven out of every ten Pro C7100 models purchased in Europe have been fifth station versions demonstrates that creative and progressive PSPs are seizing this affordable opportunity to expand their capabilities and services.”

Fast drying times, the ability to print metallic colours in conjunction with ColorLogic software, and extended media options all give PSPs valuable benefits.

Another key attraction for PSPs is Ricoh’s sustained commitment to research and development. An example is neon yellow toner which extends still further the creative potential of the Ricoh Pro C7100 series.

Ricoh brings scalability to enterprise-grade mail solution’s efficiency and automation

MALVERN, Pa., June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Ricoh USA, Inc. today announced improved scalability of its latest mail distribution innovation, RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services. The suite of services, which “unifies the inbox” by revolutionizing the way mail is handled and delivered, is now configured to match the volume demands and business challenges found in a broader range of organizations. Previously available only as a high-volume, enterprise-specific application, RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services empowers a whole new set of businesses to reduce costs from delivering undesired mail, measure the impact of return mail, and boost speed and efficiency by funneling relevant mail pieces to employees in their preferred format. The new offering is designed to streamline mail handling for any organization with mid-volume mailrooms including law firms, healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical companies and health insurance providers. It digitizes incoming mail and leverages robotic process automation to optimize mail management.

Just like its high-volume counterpart, which has helped provide a solution to the challenge of effectively delivering communications to employees while shifting to a remote workforce model, this more scalable version of RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services helps centralize incoming communications. That centralization streamlines the sharing of information and drives productivity in the modern workplace, where employees often hotdesk or work on-the-go, making reliably reaching a recipient at a single physical location a challenge. With this offering, when new mail arrives, recipients receive a notification email, from which they can choose their desired delivery options. These decisions can be made from any internet accessible device, so communications follow recipients wherever their work takes them.

Handling mail costs money. In fact, Madison Advisors reports that mail costs have spiked by 40 percent.* That cost, combined with the time required to evaluate mail pieces upon arrival, are factors that make RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services more appealing. By empowering recipients to digitally reject unwanted mail before it […]
